One of the most common questions we get right now is, “How long does alloClae last?” We have seen that alloClae is giving patients long-term results. The enhancement that they have at about 1 month is the result that we have seen in our patients over the long term. We have patients who are over 18 months out from their treatment and have lasting results. At our practice, we see alloClae as a long-term natural restoration solution.

What is alloClae and Why Does It Last?
AlloClae is a processed fat product that is made up of two key components. About 60% is adipocyte membrane, and about 40% is extracellular matrix. This unique combination is what gives alloClae structural strength and bio-regenerative properties that are key to its long-lasting results. It is considered by most to be a bio-regenerative scaffold that is replaced by your own tissue. The strength of the product has been key to lift and shape challenging body needs such as hip dips, breasts, and liposuction contour deformities.
When alloClae is injected for enhancement or restoration, it does two things:
First, it gives you immediate volume and shape that maintains over time. Whether we are treating hip dips, contour irregularities, or areas where volume has been lost, it creates that sculpted look immediately after being injected.
Second, and importantly for longevity, it begins to integrate with your body over time. This integration is what gives patients long-lasting results from their alloClae injection.
What Happens Over Time?
The question has been whether alloClae enhances the shape and creates volume as a filler that has a mass effect, or whether it truly integrates with your natural tissue in a bio-regenerative manner. This is critical as the integration will do several unique things for your enhancement. alloClae integration will give patients a long-term result, a natural feel, and appearance to the treated area. This would be a huge step forward in the regenerative revolution.
The concept, and what we are seeing clinically in our practice at Austin Plastic Surgeon, is that alloClae acts as a biologic scaffold that your body gradually replaces with your own natural tissue. We have followed patients with ultrasound examination and photographic examination at several time points after their alloClae treatment, and we have seen several exciting things during these follow-ups.
Our patients who had alloClae injected had a stable result in their photo comparison. Interestingly, when the areas were examined with an ultrasound, the alloClae appeared to slowly integrate over a period of several months. The stability of their results with the lack of visible alloClae after several months on ultrasound is suggestive that the alloClae slowly integrates over time. It appears that your body is replacing the scaffold with your own tissue, which is exactly what we want for long-term, natural results.
How Long Do Results Last?
In our practice, we have seen that our patients keep about 90% of the alloClae that is injected. This result is typically visible in about a month to let swelling resolve. For our patients, that result has been stable for well over a year. We have seen patients with stable results for over 18 months. If the alloClae is truly integrating as we believe it is based on the ultrasound images, then this result should be stable over the long-term.
alloClae is often described as a long-term filler specifically designed for the body; it appears to be a regenerative solution, and less like our traditional fillers.
Where alloClae Has Been Most Impactful
When exploring long-term volume enhancement for the body, their a several areas that have a large gap in aesthetics. We have often used biostimulants to add volume to the body with mixed results, high costs, and the need for repeat treatments every several years. alloClae has been exciting for patients and providers as it has filled a gap where we have not had many options previously.
The longevity of the alloClae has made it ideal for the treatment of several areas in our practice:
- Liposuction contour irregularities
- Hip dips
- Volume loss after weight loss
- Breast contour
- Treatment of breast rippling
- Butt Augmentation
- Vaginal Rejuvenation
- Breast augmentation
Why Patients Are Choosing alloClae for Their Long-Term Body Enhancement/Corrections
What makes alloClae different is not just how it looks. It’s how it behaves. The goal is a regenerative option for body enhancement. This allows for a natural enhancement or correction. We have never had a long-lasting option similar to this previously.
This is typically done in the office under local anesthesia; however, it can be done under general anesthesia when combined with other procedures.
Fat has always been the gold standard for body rejuvenation and restoration. alloClae has given patients and providers a new option that does not require liposuction. It is an option for patients who don’t have any fat for liposuction.
The early clinical data suggest that it integrates into your own tissues over time, creating a natural restoration and augmentation that will have longevity.
This is different from the other fillers that just add volume. The goal with alloClae is that we are placing a product that your body can use, adapt to, and ultimately replace with your own natural tissue.
alloClae offers something we have not truly had before. A product that gives:
- Immediate, visible improvement
- Long-lasting volume
- Natural integration with your own tissue
Based on what we are seeing, patients can expect stable, meaningful results that last well beyond a year, with the potential for even longer-term persistence as that tissue becomes their own.
And that’s why this is such an exciting part of the regenerative movement in aesthetics.
Confidence is the best contour.
