How to Prepare
The preparation process for your procedure will vary depending on your specific treatment plan. To prepare, you should not schedule your treatment close to any important events to allow enough time for recovery. You should avoid taking medications and supplements that thin the blood, and avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after your treatment. We can provide specific instructions based on your specific treatment plan to help you prepare.
Treatment Process
During an alloClae™ and rib repositioning treatment, we will cleanse your skin and place you under general anesthesia. Your surgeon will use a specialized device called a piezotome to reshape the lower ribs–typically the 10th, 11th, and 12th ribs. The 9th rib may also be included in the reshaping process. Meanwhile, alloClae™ injections in the surrounding areas will add natural volume to enhance results.
Recovery & Results
After your monitoring period, you can return home to rest. Although alloClae™ injections are minimally invasive, rib repositioning requires several weeks of downtime to allow your body to heal. Results from alloClae can be seen immediately, but over the next couple of weeks, the injectable will continue to build collagen and settle into your natural tissue for a fuller, plumper appearance.
