AlloClae can be used after a breast explant. It can be administered at the time of surgery, or it can be performed at a time following the explant procedure. The beauty of AlloClae is that it’s an off-the-shelf processed fat that is taken from donors. The goal of AlloClae when used during breast explant surgery is to restore volume and shape to the breasts after the implants have been removed.
For patients interested in breast enhancements without the use of artificial implants, AlloClae makes a great alternative. Many of our patients who receive a breast explant procedure often have limited amounts of fat or have previously undergone liposuction, but still want to enhance their breasts. AlloClae offers a great alternative for enhancing and shaping the breasts, as it avoids the use of liposuction during the procedure. Additionally, Alloclae is already processed and composed of 60% adipose site cell membranes and 40% extracellular matrix. This is a really unique combination because it is not the same as your own fat being transferred. A fat cell that is transferred has to be integrated within several days to survive, and there are a lot more longevity and scaffolding effects, as well as a limited amount of expansion available for the breast.
With the structural strength of AlloClae, you are offered an opportunity to stretch the breast and provide it with real shape. This is an in-office procedure that many of our patients have performed in a staged fashion, allowing them to maximize their results. This procedure may be performed in combination with a fat transfer to supplement the results of a previously performed performed, or to prepare for a fat transfer they plan on receiving in the future. AlloClae can help stretch the breast envelope to create extra space for transferred fat, allowing you to maximize your results without the use of implants.
I believe that AlloClae is going to be revolutionary when used for breast enhancements, especially after breast implant removals. The concept of this treatment is to be able to improve the shape of the breast without requiring liposuction or to prepare the breasts for fat transfer. We have many patients who want to remove their implants while still maintaining their figure. However, they may not have many options, especially if they have received either liposuction or a fat transfer previously.
AlloClae can be used to help our patients improve their overall breast sculpt and create a subtle, yet meaningful shape for them without requiring them to undergo a larger-scale surgery or receive implants. It can also be performed several years after your breast explant. Many patients believe that they no longer have any options after a significant period of time. Alloclae will be able to open doors for many of our patients who previously underwent a breast explant, but are still interested in enhancing the overall shape of their breasts.
