Who is a Good Candidate for a Liquid Rhinoplasty (Non-surgical Rhinoplasty)?

Liquid rhinoplasty procedures have become increasing popular as people are seeking non-surgical options to enhance their appearance. A non-surgical rhinoplasty, also known as a liquid rhinoplasty is an office procedure where fillers can be used to enhance the appearance of the nose.

Liquid rhinoplasty is best used when patients want to give their nose a more sleek, narrow appearance. It can also be used decrease the appearance of a dorsal hump from profile view. A filler such as Juvederm Voluma or Restylane can be used to sculpt and shape the dorsum of the nose to help you achieve the appearance you desire for your nose. A liquid rhinoplasty can also be used to touch up a nose when someone has already had a rhinoplasty. Occasionally patients have had a nose job, but would still like to improve a small area of the nose. The liquid rhinoplasty is often a great option to revise and improve the nose after a rhinoplasty.

A non-surgical rhinoplasty can be done in the office similar to a lip augmentation. Typically, patients will come in and discuss with me their concerns about their nose and then we can discuss what a liquid rhinoplasty will be able to achieve for them. Once we have decided on a plan to improve the appearance of their nose then we put numbing cream on the nose for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then the procedure of sculpting the nose takes about 15 minutes. The fact that patients can come into the office, have a consultation and improve the appearance of their nose has in under an hour as made this an extremely attractive option for patients.

The liquid rhinoplasty lasts a variable amount of time depending on the filler used for the augmentation. Voluma is the most common filler that I use for the non-surgical rhinoplasty but there are a variety of good options.
