About Motiva 6th-Generation Implants

Motiva 6th-generation implants are an innovative new option for individuals looking to enhance their breast shape and size. Breast augmentation with Motiva implants offers a blend of advanced technology, safety features, and natural-feeling results. With the combination of ergonomic design and biocompatibility, these silicone gel implants have emerged as a popular choice among patients seeking aesthetic improvement.

Implant Types

Motiva SmoothSilk Ergonomix®

Adapting seamlessly to body movements, teardrop-shaped Motiva SmoothSilk Ergonomix® implant construction considers the principles of ergonomics by mimicking the feel of natural breast tissue. Featuring ProgressiveGel Ultima, these implants enable subtle adjustments while ensuring a lifelike appearance, regardless of how the body moves. (2) The unique implant shell exhibits elasticity that complements the advanced gel filling.

Motiva SmoothSilk Round with ProgressiveGel Plus®

Motiva SmoothSilk Round implants are crafted to enhance the fullness and roundness of the breasts. They also feature advanced design elements that help preserve their shape during movement. These implants provide not just volume but also a natural softness. Instead of using ProgressiveGel Ultima®, they utilize ProgressiveGel Plus®, which offers a moderate firmness. This firmness enhances their ability to maintain a fuller upper breast profile. (2)

Benefits of Motiva 6th-Generation Implants

Undergoing a breast augmentation procedure that uses the latest advancements in implant technology means maximizing your results and satisfaction. Some of the benefits of these implants include:

  • TrueMonobloc® construction: TrueMonobloc® technology allows the shell of the implant to act more predictably under mechanical stress, making insertion easier and allowing for smaller incisions.
  • Advanced surface technology: Motiva’s new implants are textured on a microscopic level. This nanotexturing allows tissue cells to have better retention of the implant while forming a capsule.
  • More cohesive gel: The gel filler medium inside the implants is a new formula that helps create a natural, cohesive feeling in the breast.
  • Increased elasticity: Not only are the new implants stronger, but they are also more malleable and better able to adapt to the body and skin’s natural changes.
  • Customization: A wide array of different shapes and sizes are available, so your implants can be customized to suit your body and create a natural appearance.
  • Less risk of rippling: An advanced shell and innovative filling materials provide a more cohesive and stable structure with a reduced risk of rippling.
  • Safer & faster recovery: Motiva implants are designed to encourage healing and reduce inflammation.

Who Can Receive 6th-Generation Implants?

Any qualifying candidate for breast augmentation or breast revision can receive Motiva 6th-generation implants, and we encourage every patient to opt for the most advanced option available. Patients who respond best to breast enhancement are those who do not have any current diseases or infections in their breasts, do not smoke (or are willing to quit), and have realistic expectations for their results. Other than these, there are very few contraindications that would prevent a patient from receiving breast implants. (3)

Personal Consultation

Increasing breast size and shaping them to your ideal appearance is one of the best ways to increase your confidence and look and feel like your most attractive self. If you would like to further explore how Motiva breast implants can benefit you, schedule a consultation with us at Austin Plastic Surgeon. At this appointment, you can discuss your goals, what you like and dislike about your breasts, what you want to change, and more. With this information, you can collaborate with us to create your personalized breast augmentation treatment plan that will produce the most effective results.

Preparation

We will provide you with specific preparation instructions for your breast enhancement procedure. All patients are required to:

  • Discontinue blood-thinning medications and supplements
  • Quit smoking (if this is applicable)
  • Arrange transportation to and from their procedure
  • Preemptively fill antibiotic and pain management prescriptions

Procedure

You will be placed under general anesthesia for your breast augmentation procedure. Following this, your Austin Plastic Surgeon will sterilize your skin and mark the necessary incision sites. Because of the monobloc construction and the advanced gel formula used in Motiva 6th-generation implants, smaller incisions are required to properly insert your breast implants. Incisions will typically be made below the breast, at the inframammary crease. This helps to hide any potential scarring. Once the incision is made, your implants will carefully be inserted. Implants can be placed above or below the pectoral muscles. (3) This placement will depend on the details of your treatment plan and your unique anatomy.

Your implants will be carefully adjusted in the breast pocket to ensure symmetry and a natural look. Your surgeon will carefully evaluate the size and “sit” of your breasts before incisions are closed and the procedure is completed.

Recovery

Breast augmentation recovery is typically a straightforward process. You will experience some swelling, bruising, and soreness in and around the treatment area within the first few days, but this can be mitigated with prescribed pain medications. Your surgeon will require you to wear a compression garment to maintain consistent pressure on your chest throughout the early stages of your recovery.

Recovery timelines vary by individual but usually involve rest and careful activity restrictions in the initial stages. Patients are normally able to return to light work and carefully resume normal activity within 7-10 days. (3) Full recovery and the resumption of exercise and engagement in strenuous activity may take 6-8 weeks. (3)

Results

Austin Plastic Surgeon patients are regularly extremely satisfied with the results of their breast augmentation procedures. As swelling resolves, you will notice larger, fuller breasts that match your expectations. As they continue to heal and their appearance improves, you will feel more confident with your new appearance. Motiva 6th-generation implants have some of the lowest rates of complications, so we are confident that you will enjoy your new breasts for many years.
