The Butt Craze Comes to Texas!
When I first moved to Austin from Miami I was told that I would never do anymore butt augmentation surgeries. That statement couldn’t be any further from the truth. The butt craze is in full affect in Texas!
The idea of having an hourglass figure, curves and a full butt was popularized by the Kardashians and others years ago and has just caught fire. These procedures have become so popular because it allows people to embrace the curves and figure that they love. We all have different body frames and this enhances the figure that we were given.
Social media has transformed the beauty and fashion industry as individuals of every shape, size and style can share their story with the world. It used to be that patients brought in pictures of movie stars and celebrities. Now the majority of my patients come in with pictures from Instagram of their Instafamous figure crushes.
So, what is a butt augmentation? There are two ways to enhance your butt and figure! The most popular method is the “Brazilian Butt Lift,” this is where liposuction is performed from your abdomen, love handles and back (everywhere you don’t want it) and transferred to enhance your butt and hips. The combination of the liposuction and fat transfer give people a tiny waist, full hips, perfect butt and an incredible figure.
The second option is butt implants which are typically used for patients that are too thin and don’t have enough fat for a Brazilian Butt Lift. The butt implants much like breast implants come in a full range of size and shapes! The implants can also be combined with fat transfer when individuals want a butt and hips for the complete hourglass figure.
The biggest misconception about Butt Augmentation (Brazilian Butt Lift or Butt Implants) is that it is only for my models and Instagram beauties. That couldn’t be further from the truth, I have everything from business men and women to our soccer moms to of course our instabeauties.
Please remember to consult your Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon when having any aesthetic procedure. You should not have your surgery done solely by the lowest bidder.
