I personally do all of my breast augmentations under general anesthesia. This is my method of choice as the majority of implants are placed below the muscle. When the patient is under general anesthesia, the muscle will be relaxed, making the surgery easier and more precise. It is also much simpler for the patient.
Questions to ask:
Where is the surgery performed
Is the procedure performed in an accredited surgery center or hospital?
Who performs the anesthesia for the procedure?
Is an anesthesiologist performing the anesthesia?
Please remember to consult with your board certified plastic surgeon.
