What Garment Should I Use After My Brazilian Butt Lift

The garments get a lot of attention after a Brazilian Butt Lift and while it is import it is only one part of the post-op healing process. I also think that sometimes too much weight is placed on the importance of the garment.

The garment is to help decrease the swelling so that you can start enjoying your new body as quickly as possible. Often patients want the garment to be incredibly tight and in my practice I have found that this can often cause more problems than good. The garment should be snug but not overly tight. A garment that is too tight can lead to leg swelling and creases in your skin that are hard to smooth out overtime.

My Brazilian Butt Lift patients are typically placed in a Design by Veronique garment. It has the soft mesh over the butt that typically makes it more comfortable for patient to wear. It comes in a variety of sizes for both men and women. The other thing I do for our patients is that I have them use foam in in their garment to help insure that the garment fits perfectly. This allows me to add pressure in certain areas that need it while preventing too much pressure in other areas. This also helps prevent the garment from causing creases in the skin.

There are a lot of good garment companies currently. Talk to your Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon for recommendations for a garment. Most surgeon will provide you with one garment after your surgery. Your plastic surgeon can also help guide you to make sure that the garment is fitting perfectly as well. Or, contact us today to schedule your free initial consultation.
